DAY ONE: David Ellis
At the end of Day One, Te Akau Racing's principal David Ellis was the leading buyer at the Ready to Run Sale. Among the six lots he secured, the highest price he paid was $440,000 for the Savabeel colt at Lot 137.
DAY ONE: Mark Richards
Another top-class colt came through the ring at Lot 77 and The Hong Kong Jockey Club outlaid $250,000 to secure him. The son of Charm Spirit was consigned by Prima Park. We caught up with Mark Richards following the purchase.
DAY ONE: Lot 126
Lot 126, a colt by Dawn Approach, was secured by Mr Poon for $320,000 on Day One of NZB's Ready to Run Sale. Prepared by Diamond Lodge, he is out of an eight-time winning Darci Brahma mare.
DAY ONE: Trent Busuttin
Lot 180, a son of Champion sire Savabeel, was purchased for $375,000 on Day One of the 2018 Ready to Run Sale. Trent Busuttin purchased him on behalf of Cameron Cooke Bloodstock with the colt destined for the Busuttin Racing Stables.

DAY ONE: Stuart Hale
We caught up with Stuart Hale who secured the striking Savabeel colt, Lot 84, for $500,000 from the draft of Ohukia Lodge on Day One of the 2018 Ready to Run Sale.
DAY ONE: Shane McGrath
"He's got a stallion's pedigree there if he can match the performance," commented Shane McGrath of Aquis Farm on Lot 285, a colt by Hinchinbrook purchased on Day Two of the 2018 Ready to Run Sale.
DAY ONE: Lot 127
After Lot 126 went through the ring for $320,000, it was quickly followed by the $500,000 Savabeel colt at Lot 127 with Mr Man the winning bidder at the 2018 Ready to Run Sale of 2YOs. Consigned by Ohukia Lodge, he is out of the O'Reilly mare Maxmara who is a full sister to stakes winner Salsa (NZ).
