They have been strong all week and Kingsclere Stables trainers Roger James & Robert Wellwood get another. The filly by Tivaci was purchased for $250,000 in conjunction with Andrew Williams Bloodstock & Bevan Smith Bloodstock from the draft of Beckham Equine.
KARAKA 2022 - Jessica Sun
With fierce competition in the ring, Raptors Thoroughbred / Mr BQ Sun comes out on top for Lot 968. The colt by Almazor was presented by Milan Park and purchased for $230,000.
KARAKA 2022 - Tony Rider
Following a fierce bidding duel, Lot 968 is secured for $230,000 by Raptors Thoroughbred & Mr BQ Sun. On his birthday, Tony Rider from Milan Park Stud was elated with the result for the son of Almanzor.
KARAKA 2022 - Rodney Schick
We saw fireworks late in the day as Lot 954 went through the ring. NZB agent Kane Jones was the successful bidder at $220,000 on behalf of Paul Moroney Bloodstock / Wyborn Bloodstock. Rodney Schick from Windsor Park Stud was thrilled with the result for the filly by his resident sire Turn Me Loose.
KARAKA 2022 - Patrick Payne
Victorian-based trainer, Patrick Payne, who was originally born in the mighty Hawera, has his eye on a number of kiwi stallions he is looking to secure from Karaka 2022.
KARAKA 2022 - Phill Cataldo
Astute agent Phill Cataldo Bloodstock is a popular face around the grounds at Karaka. Cataldo purchases at all ends of the market for his clients, with prices ranging from just $11,000 all the way to $260,000.

A great result for a long time vendor Cherie Archer of Archer Park as Lot 937, a colt by Ace High, sells to the bid of Patrick Payne for $140,000.
KARAKA 2022 - Shaune Ritchie
Top-class New Zealand trainer Shaune Ritchie has been active at Karaka 2022, purchasing five lots. One of his purchases includes the full brother to Group One Champion filly Jennifer Eccles.
KARAKA 2022 - Robert Wellwood
NZB speaks to Robert Wellwood of Kingsclere Stables who secured the highlight on Day One of Book 2. Lot 756 is a Vadamos colt out of Call Me Blondie purchased from Haunui Farm.
KARAKA 2022 - Gus Wigley
Jessie Gower had a chat with Inglewood Stud's Gus Wigley about their resident stallion, War Decree and his results at Karaka 2022 so far. With Lot 686 presented by Ralph Thoroughbreds, the son of War Decree sold for $150,000 on Day One of Book 2 and Lot 684 going for $60,000 from the draft of Berkley Stud.
KARAKA 2022 - Little Avondale Stud
A huge thrill for the team at Little Avondale Stud as 'Victoria', the Time Test filly out of Brannickers sells to the bid of Pegasus Bloodstock for $55,000. Congratulations to the members of staff who co-owned and presented the beautiful filly at Karaka 2022 for a fantastic result in the ring.
KARAKA 2022 - Dean Hawkins
NZB chatted to Dean Hawkins of Wentwood Grange, who sold 31 out of 31 lots in their Book 1 draft at Karaka 2022. Dean operates in partnership with his two brothers Sean and Leigh Hawkins.
KARAKA 2022 - Alan Fu
NZB caught up with Alan Fu from Pegasus Bloodstock regarding Lot 748, the Time Test out of Brannickers. She is the second lot Alan has purchased at Karaka 2022 that is sired by Little Avondale's Time Test. With Karaka Million aspirations in 2023, she was top buying for $55,000.
Karaka 2022 - Jamie Beatson
NZB had a chat with one of our leading pinhookers Jamie Beatson of OhukiaLodge. He purchased a total of seven lots across Book 1 and paid $160,000 for Lot 406, a Savabeel colt out of Maxmara. He is looking forward to getting them back for the Ready to Run Sale in November.
Karaka 2022 - Go Racing
We hear from Go Racing's Albert Bosma on Day 3 after he purchased Lot 550 for just $40,000. The filly by Exosphere is out of Sallybrook, who is from a family Go Racing know well. Can lightning strike twice for them in the Karaka Million in 2023?

Mark Chittick of Waikato Stud was thrilled to sell Lot 528, the colt by Savabeel for $850,000. The popular colt is out of O'Reilly mare Relentless Desire, which makes him bred on the 'magical cross'.
