Autumn Mixed Bloodstock Sale Results

New Zealand Bloodstock's first Autumn Mixed Bloodstock Saleconcluded at Karaka today, with 126 horses sold for an aggregate of NZ$284,800.
The Sale, promoted and conducted as a low cost selling opportunity for vendors,saw 170 lots catalogued for sale with a clearance rate of80% and a sale average of NZ$2,260.
The top lot came early in the afternoon from the selection of 87 broodmares on offer, with Dance Floor mare, Stretto,purchased by Casitas HillLimited of Wanganui forNZ$24,000. Offered by Seaton Park in Morrinsville, the mare, with a Kilimanjaro colt foal at foot, isthe dam of twowinners from two foals to race, including stakes-placed Kincharm (Ebony Grosve).
The second highest price of the Sale came at the last lot of the day, with Entrepreneur mare, Jacilo, fetching NZ$20,000. Being sold to dissolve a partnership, the mare was purchased in foal to Cambridge Stud sire, Keeper, by Kylie Fawcett & Eddie Wright of Putaruru.
Earlier in the day, a yearling colt from Henrietta Tavistock's Bloomsbury Stud in Matamata fetched thethird highest price of the Sale when sold for NZ$13,000. The colt by Danasinga, the sire ofgroup one winnersPortland Singa and Piachay, was out of Sadler's Wells mare, Twentyfirstcentury. It was knocked down to the bid of Mr Gary Theodore of Victoria, Australia.

The leading buyer at the Sale was New Zealand Bloodstock as agent, with 17 horses purchased for a total of NZ$46,850. The second leading buyer was Casitas Hill Ltd, with just one purchase of the top lot, Lot 83, for NZ$24,000.
