The Colin Little-trained, El Segundo (Pins x Palos Verdes) produced the highlight for New Zealand-breds across the Tasman this weekend. The four year old New Zealand Bloodstock graduate stays firmly in contention for the Carlton Draught Caulfield Cup with an exciting two length victory in the Group 1 Yalumba Stakes (2000m) at Caulfield on Saturday. This follows an emphatic win in the Listed JRA Cup (2040m) at Moonee Valley a fortnight ago.
