Go Go Partners (NZ) Claims NZB Ready to Run Sale Trophy
14 November 2016
Talented Ready to Run Sale graduate Go Go Partners (NZ) (Bachelor Duke) scored a slick win in the MOP$200,000 New Zealand Bloodstock Ready to Run Sale Trophy (1100m) in Macau on Sunday.
The three-year-old broke from a wide gate and was unable to get across to the inside, but he still pressed forward approaching the home turn and challenged for the lead at the top of the straight. Front-runner Who’s My Fan (Court Command) fought back, but Go Go Partners overpowered him in the concluding stages of the race and won by three-quarters of a length.
Fellow Ready to Run Sale graduate River Sandtop (Domesday) made a late run to snatch second place from Who’s My Fan, whose dam Moorfysh (NZ) (Ishiguru) was also a graduate of the Ready to Run Sale.
Go Go Partners has now had three starts for a win and two placings for trainer Pat Lee and owners Chan Ho Man, Cheng Wing Bor, Lam Ka Duk Arco, Keith Lam and Li Hoi Yuen Vincent.
Bred by G B & Mrs N J Tappenden, Go Go Partners is out of the Istidaad mare Lady Lucille (NZ). He was offered by G Crankvist at the 2015 Ready to Run Sale, selling to the Macau Jockey Club for $95,000. He had earlier sold for $45,000 at the 2015 Festival Sale
Runner-up River Sandtop was also purchased by the Macau Jockey Club at the 2015 Ready to Run Sale, fetching $55,000 as part of Ohukia Lodge’s draft.
The 2016 NZB Ready to Run Sale catalogue has attracted 552 two-year-olds. The Sale will be held on 16 & 17 November 2016 at Karaka with selling starting at 10am each day.
For the third consecutive year a live stream of the Sale will be broadcast in Macau enabling buyers from the Macau Jockey Club to purchase in real-time.
