Half-Brother to Neverland at Karaka 2016

A second stakes win by Neverland (Big Brown) has added further depth to her pedigree following victory on Saturday in the A$100,000 Listed Carbine Club of W.A. Stakes (1400m) at Ascot.

A half-brother by All Too Hard to Neverland is entered in the 2016 Karaka Premier Sale at Lot 400 from Blandford Lodge. The catalogue for the 2016 Karaka Premier Sale was released today and can be viewed here.

A winner of six races from eight starts, Neverland’s first stakes success came earlier this year in the Listed Challenge Stakes, also at Ascot. From Grant Williams’ stable, she has won all three starts this season over 1400m.

“I definitely had her as my number one (three-year-old) last year,” commented Peters, Neverland’s owner. “I had in the back of my mind if she won well today the Kingston Town Stakes would be next.

“At this stage, provided she pulls up well, that’s where we will head.”

The Group 1 Kingston Town Stakes will be run on 5 December at Ascot over 1800m.

Starting as race-favourite from barrier 1 for jockey William Pike, Neverland took victory by one-length over Sireeze (Choisir) and Halo Express (Danehill Express) who finished in second and third places respectively.

Bred and raced by Peters Investments Pty Ltd, the four-year-old mare has won A$288,450 in prizemoney.

The daughter of Big Brown is out of winning Zabeel mare Midnight Special, a full-sister to stakes winner Rainbow Styling, winner of the Group 3 Naturalism Stakes, and is a half-sister to Zingaling (Redoute’s Choice), winner of the Group 3 Birthday Card Stakes.
