Half-Sister to Miss Marielle in Karaka Ready to Run Sale
5 October 2009
New Zealand Bloodstock's 2009 Ready to Run Sale (17 November)will see a More Than Ready half-sister to Miss Marielle go under the hammer at Lot 24.
When the catalogue went to print the two-year-old filly by More Than Ready out of Miss Vandal (Don't Say Halo) was a half-sister to dual Listed winner Miss Marielle (Encosta De Lago). To date, Miss Marielle has not missed a place in five starts for Joseph Pride this season, with wins including the Group 2 STC Hill Stakes and last weekend's Group 3 AJC Craven Plate where she defeated Group 1 winner Nom Du Jeu (Montjeu).
Now the winner of over A$500,000, Miss Marielle heads to the paddock for a well-deserved rest while her two-year-old half-sister gears up for the Karaka Ready to Run Sale breeze-ups to be held at Te Rapa Racecourse in a fortnight.
By the sire of More Joyous, and the past two Group 1 Golden Slipper winners Phelan Ready and Sebring, Lot 24 is out of Miss Vandal (Don't Say Halo), the winner of four races, three at two, including the Group 3 WATC Sires Produce Stakes, and has left three runners for three winners at stud thus far.
