Incentives for Buyers at Highview Sale

With the Highview Stud Deplenishing Sale just days away, stud principal Brent Gillovic has announced added incentives for buyers attending this Sunday's Sale.

With the stud's exciting young sires Danroad and Align enjoying a timely run of success, Highview will offer a 10% discount on the advertised service fees of its resident stallions to anyone who purchases a broodmare at the Sale*.

The announcement is a show of confidence from Gillovic for the regard he has for the mares he will be putting under the hammer.

"We recognise, as will buyers who have studied the catalogue, that many of the broodmares on offer have a lot of upside and it is in our interest to gain their new owners' support for our stallions."

"The 10% discount on their 2009 fee says we like what we are selling and we would love to see them covered by our emerging young sire stars, Danroad and Align, for mutual benefit."

As an example of the potential in the mares offered by Highview, Sunday evening at Sha Tin saw Lot 24 in the Sale, Star of Grosvenor (Last Tycoon), produce a winner on Hong Kong Derby night when her three-year-old son Regency Kingdom (Val Royal) scored in the Clear City Handicap (1200m) by nearly two lengths.

In addition to the main catalogue, a supplementary offering of four unreserved racehorses by Golan, Kashani, and Danelove, have been added to the Sale. Click here to view the catalogue with supplementary Lots 52-55.

Subsequent to the catalogue going to print, there is now an amended upset price of $500, down from the original $1,000 minimum price.

Sale information for this Sunday, 29 March is as follows:

�         Gates will open at Highview Stud, 1544 Kakaramea Road, Hamilton, from 10am on Sunday with the Sale scheduled to start from 2pm.

�         Purchases made at the Highview Deplenishing Sale need to be collected from the Stud by no later than Friday, 3 April.

�         Inspections this week are by appointment only.

*Purchases must be made in accordance with the Conditions of Sale.
