Karaka Million Entries Closing

There is just over a week until entries close for next year's Karaka Million Series.

All yearlings from this year's Karaka Yearling Sales have until 5pm on 2 March 2009 to be eligible for the one million dollar two-year-old event over 1200m, plus the $200,000 three-year-old mile the following season. Entry is a single payment of NZ$1750 plus GST for both races, with normal nomination and acceptance fees due to New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing before the race.

If you didn't buy a horse at Karaka but would still like a chance to race for one million dollars in just 12 months time, you can be in to win by purchasing any horse that was passed unsold through the ring at the National Yearling Sales Series* and entering it in the Karaka Million Series.
