Karaka Sale Packed with Relatives to Singapore Stars

New Zealand Bloodstock's Premier Sale at Karaka this year boasts an impressive selection of yearlings who have close relatives performing successfully in Singapore.

Super consistent performer Tom Higgs has rewarded his owners well with 12 wins and a further 15 placings to his credit. The seven-year-old by Al Akbar has a half-brother by Deputy Governor - sire of Singapore Horse of the Year Zirna - in the Select Sale at Lot 844.

Big-Easy

2005 Singapore Horse of the Year, Big Easy, a recent third placegetter in the Singapore Gold Cup, is represented by a half-brother at Lot 295 of the Premier Sale. The colt by Danasinga is also a half-brother to winners in Singapore, Royal Marshall and River Rouge.

Top class performer, Crusoe, has an impressive record of six wins and four placings from his 14 career starts. The talented four-year-old has a half-brother in the Premier Sale by Black Minnaloushe, and is also a half-brother to Group 1 winning three-year-old, Dorabella.

Cape Cross colt, Kelantan, was the decisive winner of the Group 2 Japan Breeders' Association Trophy, the third leg of the Singapore 3YO Challenge, bringing his tally of wins to five. He has a half-sister in the Sale at Lot 406 by New Zealand resident sire, Traditionally.

One of the last lots on Day One of the Premier Sale will be a half-brother to three-time winner in Singapore, My Royal Captain. The colt at Lot 224 is by Black Minnaloushe, sire of reigning New Zealand Champion 2YO colt, Jokers Wild.

With five wins and six placings to his credit, Itmaybeyou was also a black type winner in Singapore last year in the second leg of the Singapore 3YO Challenge. His half-brother by Keeper is in the Premier Sale at Lot 215.
