Karaka Sales Broadcast Live in NZ & Australia

New Zealand Bloodstock's Karaka Premier Sale (1 & 2 February) will be broadcast live on Sky Sports 3 - and for the first time also on TVN, Australia's dedicated thoroughbred channel.

Live coverage on Sky Sports 3 (Channel 32) will start with a Preview Show at 10:30am on Monday 1st February, followed immediately by live lot-by-lot action from the Karaka sale ring. Full replays of each day's events will be shown on Trackside Channel 36 commencing at 9:30pm.

TVN will provide live coverage from 8.30 am (AEST) right up until live race day commences (approx. 12:30pm AEST) each day.

The live broadcast will be presented by thoroughbred experts George Simon and Karyn Fenton Ellis, providing interviews and analysis throughout the day.

This year's broadcast is sponsored by David Ellis and Mark Walker's Te Akau Racing, a prominent presence at Karaka each year with David Ellis the leading New Zealand buyer at the National Yearling Sales Series for the past five years in a row.

Ellis is once again set to make an impact at Karaka 2010, hunting for the next crop of racetrack stars to add to the Te Akau stable to be trained by Mark Walker.

TVN breeding expert and presenter, Caroline Searcy, has been in New Zealand in recent weeks seeing a selection of the yearlings on offer at Karaka 2010.
