Golden Opportunities at Bloomsbury Stud NZ Dispersal Sale
On MondayNew Zealand Bloodstockhosts the dispersal sale of Henrietta, Duchess of Bedford's Bloomsbury Stud NZ, and with it offers buyers a golden opportunity to acquire well-bred stock from this highly regarded breeding operation.
A total of66 horses have been catalogued for sale, with the best of European and Australian bloodlines representedincluding a host of relatives to the Stud's outstanding broodmare Mrs Moss.
Henrietta says the final preparation is now going into her draft and she is delighted with how the horses look, notwithstanding a hint of sadness to be winding up after ten-years ofoperation.
"The logistics of getting allthe horses ready for salehavebeen an enormous task, but all credit to my team the horses are looking fantastic. The weanlings are as good a draft as I have ever offered so although it will be very sad to say goodbye, I am proud that we have such a strong final selection of Bloomsbury stock to be offeringon Monday,"commented Henrietta.
Recent pedigree updates to the Bloomsbury Stud catalogue include a recent winner in Hong Kong,Step to Win (Stravinsky x Repetition),who isrepresented in the catalogue byLot 18, a filly by Thorn Park, andLot 46,Repetition (Kingdom Bay), served by Stravinsky. Lot 49, Tetchy (Robellino x Putout), is closely related to Prianca, a recent Listedplacegetter in Germany.
Bloomsbury Stud-owned stallion, Soviet Flash (IRE) (Warning x MrsMoonlight), who features in many of the pedigrees, will be on the grounds on Sundayand Monday for viewing.
Selling will commenceat 1pm at Karaka, with all horses available for inspection on the salegrounds from Saturday morning. There will be an upset price of $2,000 on all lots offered.
