Kiwi Horses Making Their Mark In Hong Kong

Brave Knight (Turbulent Dancer x Ricel Bid) took out the Class 4 Real Documentary Handicap (1200m, HK$570,000). The three year old fought on to win from Brilliant Attorney (Brocco x Our Call) with Tabbris (Snippetts x Tinker's Flight) taking third position.
Brave Knight was purchased by Craig Ritchie at New Zealand Bloodstock's 2001 Select Colts Sale for NZ$35,000 from the draft of Newmarket Lodge.
Following Brave Knights win, another kiwi galloper, Xlerate (Zabeel x Very Gilded) was successful in the Class 3 Jin Yong Drama Handicap (2000m, HK$700,000). Xlerate scored the win ahead of Good Fit (Salse x Kardelle) with Sprinter (Danehill x Sitella) in third position.
Xlerate was purchased by Gary Moore Racing at the 2001 New Zealand Bloodstock Premier Yearling Sale for NZ$650,000. The colt was sold through the draft of Cambridge Stud.

Danamite (Danasinga x Imposing Choice) ran a nice second in the Class 1 Lights of Million Hopes Handicap (1800m, HK$1,600,000).
Ching Hoi Boy (Danasinga x La Cent) also with a second in the Showbiz Update Plate (1000m HK$700,000). Ching Hoi Boy was purchased at New Zealand Bloodstock's 2002 Premier Yearling Sale for NZ$80,000. He was purchased by New Zealand Bloodstock on behalf of a Hong Kong buyer and sold through the draft of Waikato Stud.
Able Eagle (Jetball x Dance For Joy) ran second in the News Magazine Handicap (1200m, HK$500,000). Able Eagle was purchased by Dominion Bloodstock at New Zealand Bloodstock's 2001 Premier Yearling Sale for NZ$25,000 from the draft of Fairdale Stud.
Waialae Win (Honor Grades x Sonchela) raced home for second in the Historical Drama Handicap (1800m, HK$570,000).
Grand Fighter (Housebuster x Ebony Glow) took second place in the Genki Asian Drama Handicap (1400m, HK$700,000) just ahead of another kiwi galloper, Tamar (Volksraad x Startune) in third position.
