Nom Du Jeu Shares Available Through NZB
10 February 2010
On the back of an extremely positive Karaka 2010 National Yearling Sale Series (1 - 8 February), which saw yearlings with an aptitude for middle-distance racing sell strongly, New Zealand Bloodstock is pleased to be promoting the syndication of Nom Du Jeu who retires to Fairdale Stud this breeding season.
As Montjeu's highest stakes earning galloper in the Southern Hemisphere, Nom Du Jeu raced at the highest level throughout his career, with his 2008 Group 1 AJC Derby victory over Red Ruler and Littorio a highlight.

Nom Du Jeu showed immense speed for his trainers Murray and Bjorn Baker winning from 1200m - 2400m. Amongst his performances were a stellar last-to-first effort in his only start as a juvenile, and a second placing behind Princess Coup in the Group 1 Stoney Bridge Stakes (1600m).
The first foal of Group 1 Kelt Capital Stakes and Group 1 Brisbane Cup winner Prized Gem (Prized), Nom Du Jeu hails from a wonderful winning family with his first four dams all winners at an average of seven wins apiece.
Nom Du Jeu retires to Fairdale Stud in 2010 where he has been syndicated into 50 shares and will stand for $6,000 + GST in his first season.
Gerald Fell of Fairdale Stud explains the ownership structure.
"The Morton family of Brisbane has retained 50% of the horse, both Fairdale Stud (Gerald & Duncan Fell) and Goodwood Stud (Rex & William Fell) are shareholders, and the remaining 15 shares are available to breeders via New Zealand Bloodstock who are promoting the syndication," said Fell.
The Nom du Jeu share price is $30,000 + gst which entitles the holder to two service nominations to the stallion for the first four years of his stud career.
New Zealand Bloodstock is selling shares in Nom Du Jeu currently and interest has been strong since his announcement.
A share in Nom Du Jeu looks a very attractive investment opportunity given:
- the young stallion's appeal internationally
- the discounted service fee shareholders will attain the first four years (two mares per season) and then a free service every year after
