NZ 6 of 10 in Singapore

New Zealand Bloodstock has enjoyed another successful weekend in Singapore with six winners from Sunday night’s 10 race card at Kranji following a blistering win by fellow Karaka graduate Huka Falls (NZ) (Align) in Friday night’s feature race at Kranji.

The highly promising son of Align took out the $125,000 Open 1100m in a quick 1.04.39, just 0.08 outside of fellow Karaka graduate Makkura’s (Falkirk) polytrack record. Huka Falls is a graduate of the 2011 Ready to Run Sale and has now won nine of his 13 race-day appearances for former New Zealand trainer Laurie Laxon.

The Ready to Run Sale achieved further success on Sunday night with four of the six NZB graduate winners coming from the Ready to Run Sale.

Easy Man (Ishiguru) kicked the night off in the first race with a comfortable three-and-a-half-length victory.

Experienced galloper Caiyaya (Colombia) was the second winner for the Ready to Run Sale when winning over 1100m.

Wonder General (Occidental Tourist) continued the run for the Ready to Run when he upset his more fancied rivals in the Class 5 race over 1200m.

The final race on the night was taken out by the debutant Faaltless (Faltaat), a graduate of last year’s Ready to Run Sale less than 12 months ago.

Other NZB products to win last night were Select Sale graduate Sacred Emblem (Volksraad) over 1200m and ex-pat Kiwi trainer Bruce Marsh scored a win with Supernova (Elusive City), a Festival Sale graduate, over 1200m.

New Zealand Bloodstock’s 2013 Ready to Run Sale will be held on 19 & 20 November with catalogues due to be released late September.
