NZB National Weanling, Broodmare and Mixed Bloodstock Sale Commences Today

Day One of the National Weanling, Broodmare and Mixed Bloodstock Sale will commence at 10am this morning at the Karaka Sales Complex.

Brimming with pinhooking, breeding and investment potential, NZB's National Weanling, Broodmare and Mixed Bloodstock Sale has 539 lots catalogued to go through the sale ring at Karaka over the next three days.

Featuring 294 weanlings, 16 yearlings, 11 two-year-olds, seven unraced horses and eight racehorses in the first two days of the Sale, the third and final day will then comprise 197 broodmares and six stallion shares.

Zarzino (NZ) (Zabeel), the dam of this season’s Group 1 Victoria Derby and Rosehill Guineas winner Tarzino (NZ) (Tavistock), was purchased at the 2014 National Weanling, Broodmare and Mixed Bloodstock Sale for NZ$1,500. Her yearling colt was then purchased at the Karaka 2016 Premier Sale for NZ$400,000.
