Pedigree Updates for NZB Winter Mixed Bloodstock Sale
31 July 2014
The catalogue for New Zealand Bloodstock’s Winter Mixed Bloodstock Sale tomorrow has been strengthened with a number of pedigree updates.
Since the catalogue has gone to print the progeny of five mares have won on raceday including yesterday at Rotorua.
The timely win of The Canon (NZ) (Keeper) at the three-year-old’s second start is a boost for his dam Strabelle (Stravinsky) who is catalogued at Lot 42. The Canon is Strabelle’s first foal and only to race so far. Strabelle will be offered by Cambridge Stud in foal to their resident sire Tavistock.
Other broodmares to have their pedigrees enhanced through the deeds of their progeny include:
- Lot 38 Sheza Gem – Dam of Australian winner Sheza Flojo(Pins) for New Zealand trainer Bernard Dyke.
- Lot 63 Celtic Class – Dam of Time to Plunder(Holy Roman Emperor), now a seven-race winner in Australia of over A$200,000.
- Lot 77 Dixie Pride – Dam of Crucis(Southern Image) who has won twice since the catalogue went to print.
- Lot 97 Just So – Dam of Australian winner Juste Si (Exceed and Excel) who has now won six races.
