RTR Breeze Ups this Monday & Tuesday at Te Rapa
7 October 2005
The official Breeze Ups for New Zealand Bloodstock's Ready to Run Sale will be held at Te Rapa racecourse on Monday and Tuesday (10th & 11th October) from 10:30am.
All horses breezing up will be filmed and timed galloping over the final 200m of the Te Rapa straight. The edited clips will be copied to video, dvd and cd-rom for distribution by the end of next week. All breeze up clips will also be available for viewing on New Zealand Bloodstock's website (www.nzb.co.nz) from next Friday (14th October).
In total, 358 of the 365 strong catalogue will be breezing up this year. New Zealand Bloodstock Marketing Manager, Petrea Vela, commented, "We are very happy to see so many vendors breezing their horses up this year. The breeze up clips are becoming such a valuable tool for buyers leading into the Sale that this really helps to give those horses the best chance in the ring."
"The breeze up format will remain largely unchanged from last year. We have finetuned some areas of the filming and production to try and enhance the quality even further and with the help of the Trackside crew have made some positive changes to operations 'behind the scenes'. The Waikato Racing Club has also been extremely helpful again this year to accommodate all our ideas to improve our breeze up formula."
New Zealand Bloodstock offers vendors and buyers a state-of-the-art breeze up sale. In addition to the clips being available a month before the Sale, there is also the opportunity to view them on the flat screen kiosks at Karaka on saleday.
