Sister to Shez Sinsational at May Sale

Tomorrow's Horses-in-Training session at New Zealand Bloodstock's National Weanling, Broodmare & Mixed Bloodstock Sale will be offering a sister to Saturday's A$300,000 Group 2 Hollindale Stakes (1800m) winner Shez Sinsational (NZ).

Trained by Allan Sharrock, Shez Sinsational (Ekraar x Original Sin) has had a brilliant season with two Group 1 wins in New Zealand, the Group 1 New Zealand Stakes and Group 1 Auckland Cup, and Saturday's Group 2 victory in Brisbane was her first across the Tasman.

The daughter of Ekraar travelled to Australia last season as a three-year-old where she ran third to Karaka graduate Shootoff (Duelled) in the Group 1 Queensland Derby and second to Karaka graduate Scarlett Lady in the Group 1 Queensland Oaks.

Dual Group 1 winner Shez Sinsational (NZ)

Saturday's Group 2 victory at the Gold Coast saw Shez Sinsational put in a brave performance to hold off Group 1 winner Lights of Heaven. Her trainer Allan Sharrock now has two more races planned for the mare this season, the Group 1 Doomben Cup and Group 2 O'Shea Stakes.

Connections are already looking towards the spring with the mare with the Group 1 Melbourne Cup on the agenda. She has proven that she can run out the demanding 3200 metres with a brilliant win in the Auckland Cup earlier this season.

Bred by the Karaka Group, Shez Sinsational's impressive record now stands at nine wins and eight placings from her 21 starts for over $1 million in stakes.

At tomorrow's Horses-in-Training session, Curraghmore Stud will offer a sister to Shez Sinsational - the winning mare Repenting - at Lot 371.

The Horses-in-Training session will follow immediately after the Weanling session and will offer 25 horses including female siblings to Group winners Postmans Daughter(Postponed), Desert Clearance (Desert Prince) and Beautiful Girl (Black Minnaloushe) and stakes winner Lesley Brook (No Excuse Needed).

A three-quarter brother to the multiple Group 1 winner Shootout will also be on offer at Lot 354.
