Spring Sale Set for Tomorrow

New Zealand Bloodstock's Spring Mixed Bloodstock Sale is all set to start at 1pm�tomorrow (Friday, 25 September).
With 80% of the 75 horse catalogue consigned through Twin Pines Waikato, recent performances by progeny of their young stallions are a creditable boost to the selection on offer.
Storm Creek's star filly Eileen Dubh showed her true class by returning in her three-year -old year to run second in the Group 3 Windsor Park Gold Trail Stakes on Saturday, a position she now finds herself in the prestigious NZB Filly of the Year Series as well.
A good looking son of Storm Cat, Storm Creek kicked another goal on Sunday when Back in Black won his third race on hotly contested Counties Racing Club $30,000 day.
Storm Creek is represented by ten yearlings, a two-year-old, and a three-year-old in Friday's sale, while Jade Robbery mare Snowdroppping, Lot 12, will be sold in foal to the Group 1 producing sire.

Lot 29 - Bay Colt - Storm Creek x Memphis Blues (Blues Traveller) - Twin Pines
��������� This colt is out of Group 2 Counties Cup placed Memphis Blues, herself the daughter of Group 2 Desert Gold placed Otoia Belle.
Lot 33 - Bay Colt - Storm Creek x Red Mariette (Red Ransom) - Twin Pines
��������� This colt is out of Group 3 winner Blimey O'Reilly's half sister Red Mariette. A daughter of Red Ransom, Red Mariete has had two foals to race including four time winner Akoya (Twining) and three time winner Netravati (Success Express).
Lot 39 - Bay Colt - Storm Creek x Valkyrie (Danehill) - Twin Pines
��������� This colt is out of Valkyrie, a Danehill grand-daughter of Dead Certain (Absalom) winner of the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes.
Fellow barn-mate Ekraar is proving himself to be a sire with plenty of potential having left four stakes horses with his oldest progeny just four including Group 3 Lowland Stakes winner Ekstreme.
This season he has been represented by smart Australian winner Exceptionally (a half-sister to Lot 35), a three-year-old who scored over 1600m earlier this month for Terry and Karina O'Sullivan in Victoria.
Ekraar's yearling progeny have sold for up to $105,000 through the Karaka sales ring and he will be represented by some nicely related stock at the Karaka Spring Bloodstock Sale.
These include two-year-old half-brother to multiple Group winner Millenium (Prized) at Lot 59, a three-year-old full-sister at Lot 67, and a three-year-old filly whose dam is a full-sister to four-time Group 1 winner, Juggler.
Three broodmares by Last Tycoon, Marauding, and Minardi will also be sold in foal to the Group 1 winning son of Red Ransom.
Now standing at Westbury Stud, Karaka, and demanding $14,500 per service, Postponed (Summer Squall) is represented by seven yearlings tomorrow.

Lot 25 - Chestnut Filly - Postponed x La Luciole (Last Tycoon) - Twin Pines
- Out of a mare by Last Tycoon, this filly's grand-dam is Mamzelle Perdu (Vite Cheval) who won nine races including the Group 3 Gosford Gold Cup.
Lot 35 - Bay Colt - Postponed x Sahayb (Zabeel) - Twin Pines
- This colt's dam by Zabeel won at two and has now left htree runners for three winners including Relentless Lad (Anabaa) who ran fourth in the Group�3 STC�Gloaming Stakes.
Three mares in-foal to the sire of Group 1 NZB 1000 Guineas winner Dorabella�will make up�the Spring Mixed Bloodstock Sale including Lot 14, Group 1 winner�Wrap Around (Bletchingly).�
Important Information:
Due to the large demand for inspections the Twin Pines draft will have arrived at Karaka by 2pm today (Thursday) to ensure ample opportunity for their consignment to be viewed.
In accordance with this change, informal viewing of the horses prior to the sale is no longer available at the Twin Pines Karaka property.
The Receivers of Stoney Bridge Thoroughbred Limited advise that all Twin Pines horses are for sale, unreserved. All horses will be sold at the sale and the Receivers will not be accepting any offers prior to the sale, ensuring all potential purchasers have an equal opportunity to acquire the unreserved Twin Pines bloodstock on offer.
