Another Smart Performer for Thorn Park

17 June 2013

In-form sire Thorn Park looks to have another smart performer in the making with his Hong Kong-based son All You Wish (NZ) taking his third straight win, and his fourth victory from five starts, last night at Sha Tin.

New Zealand horses won four races at Sha Tin Last night with Ambassadorship (O’Reilly), Hypersonic (Darci Brahma), Invictus (Keeper) and the Dennis Yip trained All You Wish (Thorn Park x Molly Dear) who showed all the makings of a serious horse as he easily accounted for his rivals in last night’s HK$1.4 million Class 2 Moon Koon Handicap (1400m).

Ridden by Douglas Whyte, All You Wish raced mid-field before being unleashed in the straight and Whyte sat quietly on the three-year-old as he powered clear and raced to a comfortable half-length victory.

The three-year-old had two trials in New Zealand under the care of trainer Stephen Marsh, winning his last, before being taken to Hong Kong where he won his debut in early December last year.

All You Wish suffered his only defeat at his second appearance in a Class 4 race and since then he has put together three consecutive wins, two at Class 3 level, before successfully winning his Class 2 debut last night.

Bred by Edward Wood, All You Wish was purchased by Dennis Yip from Beatson Stables at New Zealand Bloodstock’s 2011 Ready to Run Sale for $250,000. He is raced by Carmen Chan Wing Yee and Chan Fut Yan and has won $390,844.

Thorn Park has already shown his ability to produce elite Group 1 horses through the likes of Australasian Group 1 winners Thorn Park, Jimmy Choux and Norzita and has another exciting prospect in New Zealand with his son Sacred Park who won his two-year-old debut in exciting fashion last month.
