Big Weekend Of Exciting Nzb Sponsored 3yo Racing

This weekend sees New Zealand Bloodstock sponsoring two major 3 Year Old events, at Tauranga on Saturday and at Otago on Sunday.

Saturday features the running of the $100,000 New Zealand Bloodstock 3YO Classique, which is a 1600m contest for fillies and colts/geldings which are enrolled in the company's Mercedes Super Bonus Series. While the race is open only to Series-eligible horses, it is still expected to attract a high class field of many of the best 3YOs in the country.

On Sunday the attention turns to the south as Otago Racing Club hosts its Autumn Meeting at Wingatui. The main race on the card is the Listed New Zealand Bloodstock Insurance Stakes, for 3YO fillies over 1400m. As well as the prestige of black type, this race is also the second leg of the series for the much sought after New Zealand Bloodstock Southern Filly of the Year title. The first leg of the Series was taken out by talented filly Classic Clare (by Gold Brose)in the Listed New Zealand Bloodstock Canterbury Belle Stakes at Riccarton Park, Christchurch back in September.
