Final Day of NZB Ready to Run Sale

The second and final day of New Zealand Bloodstock’s Ready to Run Sale of 2YOs commences today with Lot 281 to Lot 552 going under the hammer from 12pm.

The first day saw a record average of $91,036, increasing 22% from last year’s Day 1 average of $74,638. The clearance rate increased to 74%, from 68% and the median rose to $65,000 after last year’s Day 1 figure of $60,000. 

NZB’s Ready to Run Sale of Two-Year-Olds celebrated four Group 1 wins last season, the only Sale of its kind to yield Group 1 success. Triple Group 1 winner Turn Me Loose (NZ) won the Group 1 Emirates Stakes (1600m) at last season’s Melbourne Spring Carnival followed by the Group 1 Futurity Stakes (1400m), dual Derby winner Mongolian Khan won the coveted Group 1 Caulfield Cup (2400m) and Dukedom (NZ) won the Group 1 Levin Classic (1600m).
