Ready to Run Starts Tomorrow
15 November 2016
NZB’s Ready to Run Sale of Two-Year-Olds – the most successful Sale of its kind in Australasia – commences tomorrow, Wednesday 16 November, with horses available for inspection now at the Karaka Sales Centre.
With 552 well-trained two-year-olds catalogued, the Sale promises to be an action-packed two days, with selling starting at 10am each day.
X-rays and veterinary certificates have been lodged with the Repository and are available to view on site at Karaka or via remote access for online viewing by registered vets. A current list of horses with x-rays and certificates can be viewed under the Sale Info section of the online catalogue, it is also published in the Addendum and Errata section and at lot level on the iPad application.
The Ready to Run Sale is the only Sale of its kind in Australasia to yield Group 1 success over the last four years, during which time its alumni have racked up a remarkable 16 wins at that level. Four of those Group 1 victories came during the 2015-16 season.
The elite success of triple Group 1 winners Mongolian Khan (Holy Roman Emperor) and Turn Me Loose (NZ) (Iffraaj) last season, as well as local Group 1 performer Dukedom (NZ) (Bachelor Duke), has been been bolstered by fellow Ready to Run graduates Debt Collector (NZ) (Thorn Park) and Well Done (NZ) (Falkirk) recently in Singapore.
The two Singapore stars fought out a stirring finish in the Sgp-1 Kranji Mile in October with Debt Collector prevailing by a neck. He has since gone on to claim the second leg of the Singapore Triple Crown Series with a win in the Sgp-1 Raffles Cup.
Meanwhile Well Done has had seven wins and six placings from his 19 starts headed by a win in the Sgp-1 Singapore Derby this season.
A consistent source of racetrack performers, graduates of the Ready to Run Sale have notched up 107 stakes wins in the past five seasons including 27 stakes races won by 20 graduates last season alone.
A live webcast of the Sale will be available to view on the NZB website from 10am on each day of selling.
Buyers are encouraged to complete a Buyer Registration form online to ensure their buyer registration sticker is ready and waiting for them when they arrive. Or, if they wish to appoint an agent to purchase on their behalf at the Sale, they can now complete the necessary Appointment of Agent form online.
