NZB Broodmare Sale Catalogues Out Now

Catalogues for New Zealand Bloodstock's National Broodmare & Mixed Bloodstock Sale, scheduled for Sunday 22 July at Karaka, are now available.
The Sale will feature a total of298 catalogued lots including 234 broodmares, 15 weanlings, 15 yearlings,4 two-year-olds,16 racehorses, 11 unraced horses and3 stallion shares.
Last year's Sale saw many investors take advantage of New Zealand'srevised broodmare depreciation regime. The change to the law saw a decrease in the maximum write-down period for broodmares from 8 years to 5 years (or 6 years for those fewthat commence breeding at age 2). While broodmares that commence breeding at age 8 are written-off in full in the first year of breeding.
