Karaka graduates won 23 Group 1 races last season and have won the most Group 1 races at The Championships of any sales company.
NZB graduates Lucia Valentina (NZ), Tavago (NZ) and Sofia Rosa (NZ) collectively won over A$4.5 million in prize money at The Championships, yet combined they cost only NZ$185,000.

2017 National Yearling Sales Series – South Island Sale on the 21 April, 2017
NZB’s National Yearling Sales Series: South Island Sale will be held at the RDA Building, Canterbury Agricultural Park in Christchurch on 21 April.
As part of the National Yearling Sales Series, yearlings sold and passed in at the South Island Sale are eligible to be entered in the lucrative Karaka Million Series, including TWO million dollar races:
- $1m Karaka Million 2YO in 2018
- $1m Karaka Million 3YO Classic in 2019
- $100,000 Karaka Stayers Cup from 2018
All graduates of the New Zealand Bloodstock National Yearling Sales Series are eligible to enter the Karaka Million Series.
South Island Sale graduates include 2017 winner of the Group 1 Telegraph Handicap, Signify (NZ) (Perfectly Ready).
2017 National Weanling, Broodmare & Mixed Bloodstock Sale on the 8 & 9 May, 2017
Entries close on Wednesday 22 February for NZB’s National Weanling, Broodmare & Mixed Bloodstock Sale at Karaka Sales Centre on the 8 & 9 May 2017.
Buyers seeking breeding, investment and pinhooking opportunities should be at Karaka in May for this Sale.
I Am a Star (NZ) (I Am Invincible), this season’s Group 1 VRC Myer Classic winner, was purchased at the 2014 National Weanling, Broodmare & Mixed Bloodstock Sale for only NZ$12,000.
2017 Winter Mixed Bloodstock Sale on 28 July, 2017
The annual Karaka Stallion Parade will be conducted prior to the Winter Mixed Bloodstock Sale at Karaka, featuring stallions available to breeders this season.
2017 Ready to Run Sale of Two-Year-Olds Sale on the 22 & 23 November, 2017

2018 National Yearling Sale Series on the 29 January – 4 February, 2018

The National Yearling Sales Series has been the source of 82 Group 1 wins in the past four seasons - the most of any auction house in Australasia.
