Rock N Roll Kid Continues Winning Form in Macau

New Zealand Bloodstock sales graduate ROCK N ROLL KID (NZ) (Justice Prevails ex Winter's Tale by Icelandic) continued his winning form by taking out the Group 2 feature M$800,000 Macau Cup (1500m) at Taipa on Saturday evening.

Also the winner of this event in 2004, the seven year old gelding now has ten wins to his credit in Macau and continues to prove his ability as one of the highest rated horses racing there. Previously racing in New Zealand as Juryman, Saturday's performance brings his tally of career wins to 13.

Bred by John & Chris Richardson, Rock N Roll Kid was a 2001 NZ$17,000 Karaka Festival Sale purchase by Mr Vern Trillo from the draft of Esker Lodge.

New Zealand-bred horses dominated the meeting in Macau claiming a total of six of the ten races on the card on Saturday night.

Big Red Robe (Danske ex Alberton Star) lead a NZ-bred trifecta in The Golden Kid 1100m ahead of Special Agent (Green Perfume x Danezza) and Best Action (Paris Opera x Burnemup). The four year old gelding was a NZ$65,000 purchase by Stephen Chow at the 2004 Karaka Premier Sale, from the Mapperley Stud draft.

Horse Express (Desert Sun x Ten Penny), a NZ$4,000 purchase at the 2000 Festival Sale by Barron Bloodstock from Grande Vue Lodge, and Carnegie Success (Carnegie x Real Success), a NZ$180,000 purchase by Victorian trainer, Mick Price, at the 2003 Karaka Premier Sale, from Trelawney Stud, won the 1000m and 1500m events respectively.

King of Flames (Tuscany Flyer x Campanella) and Read My Mind (His Royal Highness x Paris Magic) completed the line-up of New Zealand winners on the night.
