Top Quality Mares For Unreserved Dispersal On Offer At This Year's Spring Sale

GOLDEN HORSESHOE PROVIDES LUCKY BOOST FOR SPRING SALE

The catalogue for next month's Spring Bloodstock Sale has received a huge boost with the inclusion of an unreserved dispersal of a number of high quality broodmares.

The 27 broodmares will be offered through Westbury Stud as Agent. Their dispersal has come about following the sale of the Australian based group, including the Golden Horseshoe Syndicate, which owned them to a third party which does not operate in the bloodstock breeding business. It was therefore decided to disperse the broodmares on an unreserved basis.

A summary of the stock to be offered through the unreserved dispersal includes:

A 4 times winning mare from the family of KALANISI (Gr 1 Breeders Cup Turf. Grp 1 Newmarket Champion Stakes winner).

LOT 45. LUZARCHES (IRE). By Alzao x Assya by Double Form.
Winner and Group 3 placed mare from international family.

LOT 49. PRIADA (USA). By Dayjur x Primevere by Irish River.
A half sister to 3 time Group 1 winning Champion European 4yo+ horse and now successful sire PRIOLO. Priada has had 2 foals to race for 2 winners in Europe.

LOT 51. QUEEN OF BALLET (USA). By Nureyev x Quillo Queen by Princequillo.
By one of the world's most sought after sires, and out of a dual Gr 1 Oaks winner, this mare has left 6 winners including a multiple stakes winner in the US.

This mare won at 1600m in France, is by champion sire Nureyev, is a daughter of multiple Group winning mare in France, Athyka, and is a full sister to top racehorse and now sire ATTICUS, winner of the Gr 1 Oaklawn Hcp, 2nd Group 1 French 2000 Guineas, and multiple group winner. Athykaneyev has had 2 foals to race, both winners.
She is believed in foal to NZ's current leading sire VOLKSRAAD.

LOT 61. BABILLARD. By Nassipour x Eloquence by Nonoalco.
This mare is a 3 times winner from a half sister to Champion NZ 3YO filly EASTERN JOY, who is second dam of recent Group 1 winner PIACHAY. Also the family of Group 1 MRC Invitation S.H. winner PERNOD.
She is believed in foal to ZERPOUR.

LOT 62. CRYPTAVIA. By Gold Brose x Nuravia by Nureyev.
This mare won the Group 3 BTC Courier Mail Classic among her 3 wins. She is from the family of French Derby winner and successful sire BERING.
