With 456 horses sold, 65 more than last year, the aggregate for the Select Sale was $26,326,700, an extraordinary 44% above last year’s aggregate of $18,304,000. The median was 36% higher than last year’s figure of $35,000. And the average price finished at $57,734, just $1,975 behind the record figure of $59,709. This year’s figure was a whopping 23% above last year’s average of $46,813. The clearance rate was a very healthy 79%, compared with 75% from last year’s successful Sale.
