Record-breaking results were the order of the day at the 2016 edition of New Zealand Bloodstock’s South Island Sale proving demand for the Southern product is stronger than ever.
Dramatic increases across the key measures saw clearance skyrocket to 92% this year while the all-important median increased 150% to $15,000 from $6,000 last year. A 121% increase in the aggregate saw total receipts of $1,447,100 taken for the 83 horses that found new homes, leading to an average of $17,435 (up from $10,401 last year).
